Scottsdale WestWorld’s Arena 8 is being removed by DBA crews to make space for more parking for the Barrett Jackson Auction. Our scope is demolition, earthwork, paving, electrical, utility adjustments, storm drain relocation, and constructing extra concrete RV pedestal pads.
Working under our Job Order Contract with the City of Scottsdale, DBA crews recently completed the construction of all new sidewalks, ADA ramps, and driveways along Mountain View Drive west of 112th Street.
In addition, the new sidewalks, ramps, driveways and asphalt pavement was coated with an equestrian-friendly, non-slip surface treatment.
Through ADOT with Federal funding, the City of Avondale was able to complete the Multi-Use Path along the Agua Fria River (and under Interstate 10) from Van Buren Street to Freedom Park. The project was bid through ADOT’s Contracts and Specs department and DBA was the lowest responsible bidder. Construction began last week with the beginning of a new soil cement abutment wall. The project is expected to be completed near the end of summer 2020.
The southwest corner of Rural Road and Southern Avenue in Tempe is home to a major City recreational complex that includes the Tempe History Museum, the Pyle Adult Recreation Center, the Edna Vihel Arts Center, and other community facilities, including the Tempe Public Library. Many City residents utilize these facilities with the help of public transportation.
Submitting the lowest responsible bid, DBA was awarded the contract to rebuild the bus pull-out area in front of the library which included:
Working for the City of Scottsdale, DBA crews recently completed the concrete restoration project at the Scottsdale Community Design Studio. Located on the corner of 75th Street and Indian School, the Design Studio is a City facility that provides space for local artists and artisans to work and display their art. The flooring within the courtyard area and under the patio was in a serious state of disrepair. Utilizing our JOC, DBA replaced broken brick and cracked concrete with multiple styles of decorative concrete, all the while delicately working around existing planters and other structures.
Under a design-bid-build contract with the City of Tempe, and amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, DBA Construction crews are moving along with the ADA improvements to the new Bus Pull-Out in front of the Tempe Library.
Located on the corner of Rural and Southern, the project required demolition of the existing bus bay including the sawcut and removal of AC paving and new construction of concrete curb, driveway, scuppers and valley gutter. Additionally, the original asphalt bus bay was replaced with PCCP. Underground utilities were relocated and new landscaping and irrigation lines were installed, as well as new site lighting.
Currently, Job Order Contractors for the City of Surprise, DBA Construction took part in the volunteer construction of the Veteran’s Reflection Circle (a memorial to fallen hero SFC Brian Mancini). Today, Veteran’s Day 2019 was the official ribbon cutting ceremony. Local dignitaries presided over the event and U.S. Representative Debbie Lesko was in attendance along with approximately 450 Surprise residents, veterans, and City employees. DBA’s participation in the project was recognized at an earlier Dedication Ceremony at City Hall and our name is prominently displayed on a permanent placard at the memorial.
