Pinal County Flood Mitigation Project a Big Success
Awarded in August, 2017, the Queen Valley Flood Mitigation Project Phase II involved the replacement of an existing pipe culvert under Sharon Drive at Queen Creek with a multi-barrel, cast-in-place box culvert. The project was necessary because of erosion damage and scour conditions under the roadway after a summer monsoon. In addition to constructing the new drainage structure, DBA was tasked with providing gabions along the banks leading up to the downstream culvert, repaving the roadway, striping, and general earthwork on both sides of the structure. The project finished on time and within the original budget.
“Construction on the Queen Valley project went smoothly and DBA stepped up to the plate to get the work done efficiently and without any setbacks. Through this project, we’ve developed a great working relationship with DBA and have the utmost trust and confidence in them. We would be happy to use DBA again for future projects.”
